The 4th Bookstore Grand Prix : "Become the Wind for a Single Moment"

The announcement and award ceremony of "The Bookstore Grand Prix" took place on April 5th, 2007 and Takako Sato's "Become the Wind for a Single Moment" was selected the winner of the 4th Grand Prix award.

After hearing the good news, Kodansha went on to issue 100,000 reprints of the first volume, 90,000 of the second, and another 90,000 of the third. Consequently, the total circulation of volumes one through three reached 710,000.

At the venue, Ms. Sato took to the stage and addressed an audience of about 400 bookstore personnel and others involved in publishing. She spoke about how moving it had been for her when she had first spotted her own book at a bookstore and about her "personal bookstore life," in addition to declaring her intention to do her best to keep her own books from disappearing from bookstores.
