Synopsis

The Love Agents

»» Author's

»» Publisher

The Love Agents are group of private eyes who specialize in helping their clients with relationship problems.
Are you crazy about the beautiful girl next door, but haven't the guts to ask her out? Incognito Love Agents will befriend her and set up a scenario that'll turn you into friends. In one case, an agent pretends to hit A girl with a bicycle and runs off - and then the client shows up like a hero. An agent even gives one girl a DVD containing a subliminal image of the client's face, which secretly brainwashes her to think about her would-be lover.
Each love agent has a speciality: one is an actor, one a reporter/photographer, one a master of many languages. In fact, the Love Agents use any means possible, even if they're slightly illegal. They hide. They brainwash. They use bugs and GPS. They fake accidents. Even so, people visit the Agency and pay hundreds of thousands, even millions to pursue a love-at-first-sight or patch up a failed affair.
Not every episode has a happy ending, but All are entertaining and revealing. In particular, the actual climax is the thrilling episode on cracking down on a website pimp. And the poignant love story of the old couple separated for 50 years is a fine finale for the book.

Editorial Review

The "Love Agents" in this book are real professionals -part private eye, part credit investigator, part marriage matchmaker.
Is scheming to make a couple against the rules of romance? Maybe. But whatever the morality of the Love Agents, isn't the blame really on the clients who decide to hire them to carry out these "amoral" missions? Some reading this book may feel a serious crisis of conscience.
Now the Agency on which the book is based is receiving attention from all the media. And the forthcoming movie will definitely evoke the issue of defining modern love and romance.
