Editorial Review
Himiya's recipes offer a healthy and creative fusion-style of cooking, with Japanese, Chinese, Indian and Western influences. The full-color photos of the delightful dishes are very inviting. The simplicity and appetizing eye appeal of her recipes can make weekend cooking a fun experience even for busy people.
Some ingredients (konnyaku, mizuna, komatsuna, dried wolfberries, etc.) might not be sold in every regular grocery store, but may be found in Japanese, Asian and health foods stores. Otherwise, it's easy to substitute similar foods. Also, the food notes scattered throughout the book are very informative. This cookbook is a fun way to learn about good nutrition and balanced diet.
